With over 20 years of experience in state and higher education institutions, I bring a deep expertise in employee benefits, training, and retirement systems. I currently serve as a Senior Training Specialist at the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB), where I specialize in delivering effective training solutions and fostering clear communication across departments. In this role, I am the lead for implementing Oracle Guided Learning (OGL) as part of the university’s transition to a new Oracle Human Capital Management (HCM) system. OGL will assist in driving user adoption and optimizing the digital employee experience.
Previously, I was the Benefits Manager at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC), where I led strategic initiatives to enhance employee engagement and benefit offerings. My earlier role as a Senior Benefits Specialist at UMB allowed me to develop and manage comprehensive benefits programs for nearly a decade.
My career began in state government, with roles including Retirement Benefits Specialist at the Maryland State Retirement and Pension System and Revenue Examiner at the Comptroller of Maryland. These foundational positions instilled a strong understanding of regulatory compliance and public service.
I hold a Master of Science in Law with a concentration in Health Care Law from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law and a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from Morgan State University, where I also competed as a student-athlete on the Women's Tennis Team.
In addition to my academic background, I hold certifications including Oracle Guided Learning Developer (issued May 2024) and am a Commissioned Notary Public in the State of Maryland.
Outside of work, I have a passion for fashion, and I stay active through sports, particularly basketball and tennis. I’m also a lifelong animal lover and enjoy spending time supporting animal-related causes and organizations.
