Health and Safety

Updated as of March 1, 2022

Your health and safety are the HEUG’s top priority. We are working diligently with our partners and vendors to ensure the necessary safety measures are in place. We are committed to creating a safe and healthy environment for everyone.
Alliance is following best practices recommended by the  Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and will abide by the legal  mandates from the state of Washington at the time of the conference.  The  health and safety  measures available here will be updated as planning for Alliance 2022 continues.

Vaccination Requirement

Starting March 1, 2022, King County no longer requires proof of full vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test to enter indoor entertainment and recreational events or establishments – such as professional and collegiate sports, entertainment, performing arts, museums, theatre, live music, gyms, and conferences/conventions. HEUG will still require all Alliance 2022 attendees, presenters, exhibitors, staff and guests to be fully vaccinated prior to attending Alliance 2022 at Washington State Convention Center in Seattle, Washington from March 13-16, 2022.

Fully vaccinated status is defined as two weeks (14 full days) after having received the final required dose of a World Health Organization (WHO) recognized COVID-19 vaccine.

You are required to complete your final vaccine no later than February 27, 2022, to be considered fully vaccinated for Alliance 2022. If an Alliance 2022 attendee, presenter, exhibitor, staff, or guest does not meet these requirements, they are NOT considered fully vaccinated and will not be permitted to attend the Alliance 2022 conference.

Every Alliance 2022 attendee, presenter, exhibitor, staff, and guest will be required to upload proof of full vaccination prior to arriving at Alliance 2022. Instructions on how to submit your vaccine verification will be on the Alliance 2022 registration form.

Mask Requirement

Starting March 12, 2022, the state of Washington and King County will no longer require mask to be worn in many indoor public spaces. Mask will be optional for all Alliance 2022 attendees, presenters, exhibitors, staff, and guests while attending ANY Alliance 2022 events.

Please respect the choice of those who continue wearing masks while at Alliance 2022.

Please note: Businesses have the right to enhance these rules and regulations as they see fit for the health and safety of their customers and staff. We kindly ask you to respect, and adhere to the individual guidelines of each business you choose to visit during Alliance 2022.

The COVID-19 situation is fluid, and we continue to monitor developments that may impact attendees for Alliance 2022. As such, we will continue to update the safety precautions outlined on this page as appropriate to minimize risks to conference attendees and staff. In order to stay current, check this page periodically leading up to the conference. We will also keep all participants updated through the email address listed on their Alliance 2022 registration form as we get closer to the event.

We understand that some members may not be vaccinated or may not yet feel comfortable attending the in-person conference but still deserve the opportunity to access our largest professional development event of the year. We will be offering an on-demand alternative to the in-person event. More information about the on-demand alternative will be forthcoming.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will HEUG require proof of a COVID-19 vaccination for all attendees?

HEUG is requiring all Alliance 2022 attendees, presenters, exhibitors, staff and guests to be FULLY vaccinated prior to attending Alliance 2022.

Will exceptions to the COVID-19 vaccine requirement be accepted?

No. We understand that some members may not be vaccinated but still deserve the opportunity to access our largest professional development event of the year. We will be offering an On-Demand Conference Access Pass as an alternative to the in-person event. More information about the on-demand alternative will be forthcoming.

Why is HEUG requiring all Alliance 2022 attendees, presenters, exhibitors, staff and guests to be fully vaccinated prior to attending Alliance 2022?

King County has set a minimum health and safety requirement for events of 500 or more people. However, in monitoring continued developments of the COVID-19 pandemic, the HEUG Board, Alliance Planning team and staff made the determination to take our health and safety priorities to the next level by requiring ALL attendees, presenters, exhibitors, staff, and guests to be fully vaccinated prior to attending ANY Alliance 2022 event (including the Executive Event at the Sheraton Grand in Seattle). The vaccine protects everyone against the continued spread of COVID-19 and we are committed to providing our attendees a safe and enjoyable environment during any Alliance 2022 events.

I am not vaccinated and do not plan to be, how can I attend?

HEUG is requiring all Alliance 2022 attendees, presenters, exhibitors, staff and guests to be fully vaccinated prior to attending Alliance 2022 at Washington State Convention Center in Seattle, Washington from March 13-16, 2022. For people who are not vaccinated, but still want to access our largest professional development event of the year, we are offering an On-Demand Conference Access Pass as an alternative to the in-person event. More info to come.

Are all conference suppliers and staff working the event also required to be vaccinated?

All event staff (HEUG team producing the event) are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. We are making every effort to ensure all conference suppliers (staff for companies hired to service the event such as audio/visual, catering, venue and trade show contractor staff) are vaccinated. In some cases, we will not be able to mandate this with conference suppliers, and in those cases, we will require negative test results daily for those conference suppliers who are not vaccinated. We will also be mitigating interaction between conference suppliers who are not vaccinated and event participants to the best of our ability.

How will Alliance 2022 verify my COIVD-19 vaccination?

When you register for the Alliance 2022 conference you will receive a confirmation email. Within that confirmation email there will be a direct link on where to submit your vaccine verification.

How secure will my vaccine verification data and information be?

HEUG is working with CrowdPass, a health-clearance platform that allows attendees to comply with the health and safety protocols for the Alliance 2022. For more information, please visit: https://www.crowdpass.co/privacy-policy

Data security is CrowdPass's top priority. They have partnered with two amazing companies to ensure the highest level of security for all of their clients and their event attendees: MedStack and Securicy.

MedStack is a great HIPAA-compliant platform that delivers built-in privacy and security protocols that cover all typical healthcare industry practice on personal data such as encryption, certificate and key management, backups, monitoring and logging. With MedStack's secure solution, CrowdPass can safely host attendee's health screening process as well as storing these medical data from the contact-tracing period (28 days) until the disposal period (after 28 days). Therefore, all the information collected from each user will only be accessed internally for health-screening purposes and contact-tracing purposes.

On the other hand, CrowdPass utilizes Securicy for constant quality control of their system security. Securicy is an information security management platform for businesses from start-up to large enterprises. The Securicy platform uses industry-leading best practices to generate information security policies for their web application CrowdPass and automatically create implementation tasks. They frequently audit CrowdPass's system such as with penetration tests to evaluate their security level and provide tools, resources, and advice for building and maintaining their security compliance.

What is my deadline to submit my vaccine verification?
