At higher ed institutions, the IT department is often not consulted about new software or solutions until someone submits an IT project request to implement it. At Towson, the PMO is working to close this gap through a new service called a Tech Consult. The service provides an opportunity to engage with campus customers BEFORE they submit an IT project request. Our analysts work with the department to assess their business needs and then identify potential solutions. This collaboration ensures the solution is right-sized for their business need, meets security and digital accessibility standards, and everyone understands what is required to implement it. Let's discuss and share ideas on other ways to address this common problem!
