Like many institutions, DePaul University never had a centralized CRM system for internal communications. In fact, at one count, there were at least 25 different CRM installations on campus.
In 2022 DePaul embarked on an ambitious strategy to implement a campus wide CRM solution, driven by an interest to improve student retention. The internal communications group took advantage of a presidential mandate and began the process of bringing all groups under the CRM umbrella under a governance structure while at the same time decentralizing content creation and delivery.
We will discuss how we started to bring order to the chaos, drove adoption, crafted new policies, introduced governance structures and supported our new users as we implemented a new CRM system across numerous business units.
