Description:

Roles and permission lists were complicated and difficult to manage for user access and auditing purposes (random naming conventions and illogical permission lists). Some department access would be delayed because it took so much time investigating which roles their users needed.

The solution was to establish guidelines for building new roles/ permission lists. Then, we worked on cleaning up the existing, over time, to fit the new guidelines. The end result is has made Security life much easier!
