Financial Aid: Transitioning from Homegrown to the Cloud

Track: Student Information System (SIS)

Session Number: 10768
Date: Wed, Mar 6th, 2024
Time: 8:30 AM - 9:30 AM

Description:

We invite you to join us for an exciting journey as we share our experience transitioning from our in-house developed financial aid system to Oracle’s cloud-based Student Financial Planning (SFP) product. In this session, we'll demonstrate how seamlessly we incorporated a scholarship application into Oracle’s configuration files and the Non-Federal Fund Roster Load process.

We'll also discuss valuable lessons learned, including how we're adapting to monthly/quarterly updates and the changes in our financial aid "new year" process. Our team will provide insights into our technical strategy for efficiently managing and maintaining configuration files with a limited IT staff, all while empowering our functional team with user-friendly tools to streamline support.

Come be a part of this insightful discussion and learn more about our successful journey in enhancing financial aid operations.
