Redesigning Admissions Communications to Enhance Engagement and Efficiency

Track: Student Information System (SIS)

Session Number: 10734
Date: Tue, Mar 5th, 2024
Time: 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM

Description:

In 2022, the University of Montreal (UdeM) initiated a strategic overhaul of its communications protocols for students, particularly focusing on admission decisions from the Admissions Office. This involved standardizing and personalizing communications to cultivate a positive relationship with prospective candidates. The revamping process included augmenting informational content for comprehensive coverage.
Additionally, UdeM meticulously revised the visual presentation to align with the institutional brand image. Upon admission decisions, an automated process promptly assigns the communication to the concerned candidate then notifies them via email, directing them to their student center for decision details.

Notably, traditional admission letters via email were discontinued for security and operational efficiency. This redesign accentuated UdeM's unique attributes, reinforcing its standing as a leading institution among Francophone universities.
