Agenda

Using Integration Broker to connect to Webhooks and JSON APIs

Track: Technical and Reporting

Session Number: 10834
Date: Tue, Mar 5th, 2024
Time: 8:30 AM - 9:30 AM

Description:

Over the last few years, JSON APIs and webhooks have become very common as integration tools. This session will review the architecture needed to work with these types of integrations, and walk through the design for an integration built at UW Madison that uses both a webhook and a JSON API.
The integration also includes authentication to the JSON API using OAuth2.
We will review the setup for both the inbound webhook web service call and the outbound JSON API web service, as well as an internal web service used to provide an asynchronous handoff from the webhook to the JSON API call. For each of these, we will review the web service setup in Integration Broker, as well as the related App Package PeopleCode.
