Participants will learn how Miami Dade College (MDC) utilized design thinking and journey mapping to reimagine the student experience. We will showcase how design thinking allowed us to efficiently and expeditiously help identify personas, policies, procedures, system and structure changes needed to design and implement a modern student-centric experience. Topics addressed will include: Eliminating barriers, Career/Program/Plan (CPP) stack management, incoming transcript management and evaluation, using blockchain to create a digital wallet for outgoing transcripts, diplomas and badges, and managing employees through the change process. What we learned and where we are headed will also be shared.
