With institutions pushed to adopt the Fluid Homepage and Fluid Navigation during or before upgrading to PeopleTools 8.59, the University of Missouri wasn't ready for a full implementation of Fluid. With too many customization to analyze and review, and the COVID-19 pandemic mixed in, we decided to implement the Fluid Homepage and Fluid Navigation but utilize Classic Plus instead of adopting the delivered Fluid Tiles and Student Self-Service pages. The University of Missouri System implemented the Fluid Homepage and Fluid Navigation and created a new Student Center homepage. We were able to take everything students used from the Classic Student Center page, and convert it to a Student Center Fluid Homepage and deliver a much needed improvement to Student Self-Service and the overall student user experience. While the Classic Plus pages are not a truly responsive design, they function and work much better on all devices and we have received a lot of positive feedback from students. We were able to design, plan and implement the project in seven months, in between back-to-back PeopleTools upgrades. The next phase of the our Fluid Roadmap is continuing while we take time to analyze the delivered Fluid pages and continue to chart our own course, with our own timeline. This presentation will cover the approach we took for the Student Center homepage and Classic Plus pages, and the overall success of the project. We were able to keep all our modifications in-place and deliver a greatly improved user interface for students, while buying additional time to review the delivered Fluid pages for a phased Fluid Implementation.
