PUM – Streamline Security and help our friends the Technical and Functional Teams
Track: Technical and Reporting
Session Number: 9867
Date: Tue, Feb 28th, 2023
Time: 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Description:
In the PUM world, identifying new pages and components that may require security isn’t as easy as it used to be. Let's roll back the clock and see how the old way can be the new way again and what the benefits are to the security process as well as to the technical and functional teams. Benefits –Identify retrofit existing permission lists with components that have new pages awaiting security updates
-Check for New Components and assess if these should be assigned to permission lists
-Identify and remove components that lack valid navigation and alert the Functional teams so they will not report issues with their security
-Can fix issues, like menu name changes/component name changes that will globally impact all users, like the global search or the landing page as seen in some of the recent PUMS
-Create testing scripts for NEW functionality or even testing scripts for a specific role/user
