University of Texas (UT) System is serving thirteen member institutions through shared IT Services, especially for PeopleSoft ERP Environments. In a complicated environment and with given on-campus and operational uncertainties, continuous improvement is a paradigm for system development and growth. Our strategic mission of supporting campus institutions and UT System core demand constant evaluation and forward-looking strategic development. The presentation shows the current framework, operational practice, and process of continuous improvement and strategic planning to ensure efficient and effective provision of IT shared services especially for PeopleSoft environments.

Tell us about you!: Dr. Juergen Stegmair is a Database Manager for University of Texas at Dallas. He has been working in IT industry for the last 25 years, both in Germany and in the United States in various functions of ERP administration and management. Having graduated from the Fachhochschule Wuerzburg-Schweinfurt in Germany with the equivalent of a Master in Computing Science, he is a proud recent graduate of University of North Texas with a PhD in Information Science. Being well versed in analytics and business intelligence, he strives to provide data-oriented thinking and using data for well-informed and well-intentioned decision making. His family of wife, two kids, three cats, and two dogs keep him busy while he is not thinking about going hiking and mountaineering in Colorado.
