Customer relationship management (CRM) systems, such as Slate, Salesforce, and MS Dynamics have become central to universities’ strategies for recruiting students and supporting fundraising and other advancement initiatives. Universities, however, often do not routinely leverage these tools to aid in the engagement needed for large technological and cultural transformational efforts, such as ERP implementations. <span>In this session, presenters will showcase how they built a case for, developed, and currently use an affordable and scalable CRM solution to support a range of engagement targeting, tracking, and reporting needs for their implementation of Workday Student. Less can be applied to any large scale technology implementation, not just Workday.

Tell us about you!: A communications professional with nearly a decade of experience, Alexis has been leading communication for major systems implementations for more than five years. Her portfolio includes Washington University’s transition to VoIP and the implementation of Workday HCM/Finance. Currently she leads the communications team for the university’s Student Sunrise project, which includes a Workday Student implementation, roll out of PowerFAIDs for financial aid, and the transition to Slate in support of graduate admissions. In this role, she leads the strategy and development of communications to share key changes and big wins with stakeholders across the university and eventually to the more than 30,000 staff, faculty and students impacted by these transitions. To support this work, she leverages a variety of technologies, including Microsoft Dynamics customer relationship management software, Campaign Monitor, and WordPress. She holds a degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Missouri.
