The financial climate in higher education has become more volatile and more unpredictable than ever. As a result, organizations must learn to become more nimble and more strategic when executing financial plans. In this session, you will learn about the SPC (St. Petersburg College) journey to implement Oracle EPM Cloud in order to plan and report more efficiently, allowing the college to realize strategic and actionable items. This session will show how SPC reinvented their budget process to accomplish this, and will focus on the journey; as to where SPC was, where they are now, and where they are going, in terms of financial planning and reporting.

Dr. Lora acting as Assistant Vice President for Finance at University of Tennessee Southern (Formerly known as Martin Methodist College) re-engineered the budget process, resulting in greater accuracy and timeliness of business metrics. Similarly, assist in all aspects of accounting, financial planning, human resources, technology services, systems implementation, operations, cash and inventory management, multiple revenue streams, contract negotiations, construction, vendor relationships, and long-range planning.
Dr. Lora has held several financial and administration officer positions including Director of Business Services, Accounts Payable Supervisor, and Student Account Coordinator. This comprehensive experience within the finance and administration and the ability to manage and motivate teams of loyal and productive employees give Dr. Lora an exceptional perspective of the analytical budget process.
