Celebrate Wins; Heed Lessons: Tales of Two WashU Workday Implementations
Track: Student Information System (SIS)
Session Number: 9618
Date: Tue, Feb 28th, 2023
Time: 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM
Description:
In 2020, Washington University kicked off a four-year implementation of Workday Student to replace an aging and fragmented network of student information systems. That same year, the university went live with Workday HCM and Finance, a project that while successful, was fraught with many challenges. In this session, project executive, technical, functional, and change management leaders who played roles in both implementations will share how lessons from the first helped set the second up for success. Session will review lessons learned in the areas of project governance, team structure, data conversion, integrations planning, and change management. Ellen Rostand, assistant vice chancellor and project director will facilitate the panel discussion. Presenter bios attached.
