Agenda
Managing Multi-Campus Slate Integrations, facilitating UMASS System success
Track: Student Information System (SIS)
Session Number: 9697
Date: Tue, Feb 28th, 2023
Time: 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM
Description:
In 2021, the University of Massachusetts System (UMass) selected Technolutions Slate software to help support the system-wide transformation of its recruiting and admissions functions and modernize the user experience. The new UMass student recruiting and admissions initiatives are comprehensive and include multiple careers (undergraduate, graduate/professional, and non-degree students) and a broad range of application platforms and services channeled into a single instance of Campus Solutions.
University Information Technology Services (UITS) at the University of Massachusetts (UMass) provides centralized support for state system multi-campus use of PeopleSoft Campus Solutions for Boston, Dartmouth, and Lowell. Designing and implementing the essential infrastructure to support the enrollment of new students remains mission critical, especially with the adoption of Slate. UMass Admissions partners had a requirement to retain autonomy while implementing Slate for each campus (separate environments) while UITS central Campus Solutions support needed to be maintained.
Crucial ingredients of UMass's success for this initiative included engaging the appropriate functional and technical resources and conducting a critical review of existing business processes, configuration, and integration tools. Join the presenters to learn the details of this project, the lessons learned, and how you may be able to use certain aspects of our experience at your institution. We will reserve time for questions and open discussion.
