Critical Patch Updates (CPUs) are released four times a year by Oracle and they play a big role in keeping our PeopleSoft systems secure. Each institution has to evaluate and make decisions about how, when and if to apply the CPU. In this presentation we will discuss our approach to the CPU, and we will talk about how we balance time, testing, and availability of our systems while remaining dedicated to applying each CPU. We will also provide an overview of the investment our admin team has made in designing our architecture so that patches can be automated.
