Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion are usually an after-thought for an HCM implementation. The City of Seattle would like to showcase their journey and lessons learned embedding equity along with a Race & Social Justice lens in their Workday HCM implementation. Participants will learn more about City of Seattle's approach and engage in a 'fireside chat' with the City's Equity and Organizational Change Management Leads for the Workday implementation.

Tell us about you!: Primary Presenter: Daniel Magpali is a Manager, Organizational Change Management (OCM) and is the OCM Lead for the Workday Implementation at the City of Seattle. Prior to this role, Daniel has been an HR professional for over 15 years specializing in Talent Acquisition systems. Daniel holds a BA in Asian American Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Co-Presenter: Ed Odom joined the City of Seattle's Information Technology Department (ITD) as it's Race and Social Justice Lead in January of 2021. He currently leads the City of Seattle's Equity Team supporting the implementation of Workday as Seattle's HRIS. He is a seasoned leader who is passionate about making organizations better by creating work environments that enable all its employees to thrive and be their authentic selves regardless of race, color, gender, age, disability or religion. Ed is a retired Army Veteran with over 30 years of experience leading diverse teams. He uses innovative ways to reach people and provide them the motivation, coaching, mentoring and tools to succeed. He is a seasoned, Human Resources, Information Technology and process improvement specialist.

Co-Presenter: Andrea Mazzocco is a Manager within Deloitte's Government and Public Services practice and serves as the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) leader for Deloitte's State and Local Government and Higher Education Sector - the second largest Sector in the firm. She has eight years of experience successfully delivering various workforce-related services, such as DEI, talent strategies, Future of Work, and HR transformations. She currently supports the City of Seattle and American University with their DEI efforts for their Workday implementations. Andrea holds a MBA degree from the University of Chicago, a MS degree from Wake Forest University, and an undergraduate degree from the University of Akron.
