This presentation is a case study of how Caltech is building out an integrated suite of research compliance applications using APEX on top of EBS. This presentation picks up where the 2021 presentation left off and will highlight new application developments within the last year.

Caltech conducted multiple searches for an off-the-shelf solution to support the Office of Research Compliance and the committees responsible for promoting the ethical and responsible conduct of research and to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. No available solutions fit our needs perfectly and all required significant investment of resources to configure to our needs and to integrate data already captured in Oracle EBS. In contrast, APEX offered us an opportunity to build robust applications to specifically meet Caltech’s compliance and review needs while easily leveraging data in Oracle EBS. This presentation is a case study of how Caltech is building out our integrated suite of research compliance applications using APEX on top of EBS.
