Description:
It's no secret that optimized administrative services lead to high levels of customer satisfaction. In the healthcare and academic medical center settings, efficiencies in technology can also lead to better health outcomes. Seeking to unite critical enterprise-wide functions to support service excellence and enhance strategic alignment, The University of Kansas Health System (TUKHS) and the University of Kansas Medical Center (KUMC) recently partnered with Huron on an ambitious, multi-year project involving more than 600 IT professionals across both organizations. Join two of the project principals, joint TUKHS/KUMC CIO Chris Harper and Huron managing director Matt Jones, as they share strategies and lessons learned in planning and executing a monumental IT organizational change. Key topics include developing a short, medium, and long-term vision, building a transitional office to manage the overall change, achieving short-term wins, and managing enterprise-wide communications.
