Agenda
Nonresident Aliens and Tax Compliance - PART 2
Track: Human Capital Management (HCM)
Session Number: 9890
Date: Mon, Feb 27th, 2023
Time: 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM
Description:
In Fall 2022, Princeton University began the process to use a new vendor to help manage tax compliance for our nonresident aliens.
In the first part of this presentation, we will review how we organized the project, evaluated the APIs delivered by our new software provider, and decided how to interface to/from our PeopleSoft HCM instance. Attendees who are thinking about a similar project, regardless of ERP system, will be able to consider the ways that they could optimize their processes and improve compliance. In the second part of the presentation, we will review delivered PeopleSoft Payroll for North America functionality for nonresident aliens. Attendees will learn, step by step, how earnings code configuration and employee tax setup work when paying nonresident aliens. This is Part 2 of a two-part series. Part 2 is session #9582.

Tell us about you!: I graduated from Tufts University with a degree in English literature...which, of course, meant that I was destined to become a systems analyst!
I've used PeopleSoft Payroll for North America for a number of years. I currently serve on the HEUG HCM Advisory Group, and you can find me on numerous online forums answering questions about my favorite software module.
(I also have extensive experience with PS/nVision and love talking about ways to make nVision reports better!)
