COVID Screener App Integration & Self Service Reporting*

Stony Brook University has developed flawless web service to integrate with Qualtrics and Campus Clear screening apps data into PeopleSoft to monitor students and employees COVID health screening surveys. Second part of the session will provide an overview of Self Service Covid Reporting for returning to work. Our system uses a Self-Service internet and Mobile app for employees to report their Covid 19 status each day before reporting to work for the day. Upon reporting their Covid 19 status via internet or using Mobile app. The supervisors may initiate a review their employees Covid 19 status Those indicating illness will be denied access to the campus and are directed to Health services.   The Self-service supervisor review system has been developed in house allowing the entries to be reviewed by authorized Human Resources employees in addition to the employees Supervisors. We use a unique report to structure using the Employees Position reports to structure for up to 3 levels, In additions to using the position reports to structure We have allowed for two variations of designated employees to be authorized as Reviewers of the employees self-reporters.  Our capture of employee’s entries is used in the State University of New York (SUNY) Dashboard recording of campus virus activity.

A Journey into Transfer Credit with the University of Michigan

In this hands-on workshop, we will show you the transfer credit functionality in Campus Solutions, introduce you to the different setup requirements for transfer credit rules, and walk you through setup to create functioning articulations. More...

This will include:

  • Demo of staff and student pages related to transfer credit articulation
  • External subject and course data entry, including external org setup requirements
  • The structure of TC rule setup in Campus Solutions (multi-layered)
  • How to input TC evaluations and build them into working TC rules
  • Options for multi-course evaluations, expiration dates, and other more advanced functions
  • Strategies for making the complex setup work for your institutions' needs
  • Data preparation and an overview of file parser loading options
  • Considerations for project planning when considering Campus Solutions transfer credit

We will leave time at the end for talking through specific questions and scenarios at your institutions.

Tuesday, March 9th

Workshop 3 - 7:00 AM - 10:30 AM 

PEAM 101 -
Setting up and Managing Program Enrollment and Activity Management

We will be taking a structure from scratch and 

  • Create Curriculum by using
    • Build Program by Format
    • Academic Item Registry
    • Coursegroups
  • Understand how to decide certain items (like Program Format/ Enrolment cohorts) in the system
  • Complete Term Related Setup 
  • Allocate / Assign these curriculum structures to students and produce Academic Progress Trackers (APTs)
  • Enroll students onto courses through
    • Delivered APT Enrolment
    • Self Service as a student
  • Will discuss when and why we will need to use other enrolment sources such as Quick Enrol / Batch Enrol 
  • Will sync these other enrolments to students APTs by using APT Sync process 

Once the enrolments are in place we will start managing our assessments for some courses that have different resit options we will

  • Create assessment structures by including resit options
  • Understand how to setup resits 
  • Complete Term Related Setup for Activity Management purposes
  • Create Activity Managers for a term
  • Create Indivudal Activity Managers for students who are enrolled onto courses
  • Mark students through delivered processes and 
  • Review these marks in Activity Root Roster
  • Finally we will calculate course overall mark and 
  • Post these marks to Student Enrolment and Program Enrolment 

After we received the marks in Program Enrolment we will be

  • Evaluating the progression status of the student as per our own rules. 
  • Finalise statuses and related fields in APT 

We will fail some of our students to demonstrate the Resit Evaluation Functionality and will also use Resit Evaluation functionality in this session.

This will be a deep dive into an entire fully integrated solution. 

Please note that this session will not be talking about the core setup items and will only be using the delivered values in CSDEMO but we will of course be explaining why we have chosen these values.
