Stony Brook University has developed flawless web service to integrate with Qualtrics and Campus Clear screening apps data into PeopleSoft to monitor students and employees COVID health screening surveys. First part of the session will review the challenges, web service design, various configurations, and data structure.

Second part of the session will provide an overview of Self Service Covid Reporting for returning to work. Our system uses a Self-Service internet and Mobile app for employees to report their Covid 19 status each day before reporting to work for the day. Upon reporting their Covid 19 status via internet or using Mobile app. The supervisors may initiate a review their employees Covid 19 status Those indicating illness will be denied access to the campus and are directed to Health services.   The Self-service supervisor review system has been developed in house allowing the entries to be reviewed by authorized Human Resources employees in addition to the employees Supervisors. We use a unique report to structure using the Employees Position reports to structure for up to 3 levels, In additions to using the position reports to structure We have allowed for two variations of designated employees to be authorized as Reviewers of the employees self-reporters.  Our capture of employee’s entries is used in the State University of New York (SUNY) Dashboard recording of campus virus activity.

A Journey into Transfer Credit with the University of Michigan

In 2019-2020, Michigan moved 150K+ transfer credit rules from MS Access into PeopleSoft and created a web search using PS articulations. Come learn about our journey and see transfer credit setup and options in PeopleSoft. We will walk you through setting up external courses and transfer credit rules. We'll also discuss challenges, solutions, and options for more complex TC rules.

  • Hands-on setup of external org subjects and courses, plus other external org considerations
  • The structure of TC rule setup in Campus Solutions (multi-layered)
  • How to input TC evaluations and build them into working TC rules
  • Overview of course transfer credit rule setup in Campus Solutions (multi-layered)
  • Hands-on setup to build course transfer credit rules
  • Discussion of:
    • Options for multi-course evaluations, expiration dates, and other more advanced functions
    • Strategies for making the complex setup work for your institutions' needs
    • Data preparation and an overview of file parser loading options
    • Considerations for project planning when considering Campus Solutions transfer credit

We will leave time at the end for talking through specific questions and scenarios at your institutions.

Setting up and Managing Program Enrollment and Activity Management*

In this workshop, we will be completing an End to End Lifecycle within Program Enrolment and Acvitiy Management functionality. By starting using a curriculum structure "on paper" we will setup the structure in system, assign students to those structures, enroll them through, create assessments for the courses in this structure and mark students. 

We will also demonstrate a sample progression evaluation and how such information is stored in Program Enrolment of students' which is known as Academic Progress Tracker (APT)
