Student Records Track
About This Track
Attendees have plenty to experience in the Student Records (SR) sessions at Alliance. Experts from Oracle and from institutions representing the global landscape of higher education share information about how students, staff, and faculty access and manage their information. Most sessions focus on how institutions set up their information system to best support current and future student or faculty services, manage institutional records, and provide accurate reports. Topics include Oracle Student Cloud, Campus Solutions 9.2, Elasticsearch, courses and classes, enrollment, grades, academic credit/statistics, graduation planning, enrollment requisites/PERC, Activity Guides, WorkCenters, Program Enrollment and Activity Management. The Community and Birds of a Feather sessions are always of interest and are great places to meet and network with your peers. There are also opportunities throughout the conference to connect with and learn from other users from around the globe. From first-time conference attendees to veteran users, something is available for everyone in the Student Records sessions.
A Few of Our Sessions
Enrollment Requirements 101
Florida State College at Jacksonville
Registrar and Director of Student Records
We will discuss the basic structure of enrollment requisites and provide examples of when to use conditions (including the elusive plan vs plans), requisites, wild cards, or courses. We will discuss some additional functionality using reserved seating and associated class requisites. By the end of the session, attendees should have a stronger understanding of enrollment requirements and the confidence to dig deeper into their own.
University of the Witwatersrand bumpy journey with Activity Management
University of the Witwatersrand
Manager: Student Information Management Systems
The University (Wits) decided to ditch its in-house built Mark System for the Activity Management Module within Campus Solutions. This did not go as smoothly as planned and eventually turned into a reputational risk for the University.
Avoid Carpal Tunnel: Streamline with File Parser
Azusa Pacific University
The File Parser utility can be utilized to reduce manual input on labor intensive processes. In this session we will look at the various steps involved in creating a filer parser (both within and before PeopleSoft) exclusively (almost) in the functional area. We'll discuss best practices (this is where the "almost" comes in) and some examples of how it has been implemented at Azusa Pacific.
