Workshops


A number of workshops will be offered on Thursday, October 11  from 8:15 AM to 10:45 AM prior to the main conference. Registration for these requires an additional fee of $25 per workshop.  A light breakfast and boxed lunch will be included. Workshop must be paid by September 28 to guarantee a boxed lunch.  All workshop payments must be paid no later than September 28 or registration is subject to cancellation. Each workshop has a minimum participation level; and if this is not met by September 9, 2018, then the workshop may be canceled and monies paid refunded. Please see the list of the workshops being offered below:

  • If you are already registered, go to "My Registrationand login, click "Add-ons", and then click the "Add Additional Options" button. Under "Thursday Pre-Conference Workshop" select the workshop you would like to attend and click "Add". Then hit "Finish" to pay.

Sign up for a pre-conference workshop, have a Gmail account and experience Google Data Studio. This free tool allows the creation of good visuals constructed from different data sources. Using real examples, gain insight in mapping data and filters for answering common questions. Dive into options, layouts, queries, and data management.

Description

This pre-conference workshop will provide the opportunity for hands-on query building from the ground up. The workshop will integrate the use of different types of expressions, subqueries, and drilling URLs. Student academic and demographic data will be used. Please be sure to have appropriate access to the query tools and tables. Check back at a later date for the specific tables needed.

Oracle brings forth a series of fluid enabled interfaces for self-service experience. This workshop will walk you through all of the new fluid features that will be enabled when you upgrade or implement PeopleSoft 9.2. Fluid HomePages, Navigation Collections, Activity Guides, and Self service components will be explored and discussed.
