I have been with the University of Missouri System for 18 years. I began my time with the University as a technical writer with the Division of IT. In January 2015, I transferred to HR Information Systems as an HR Information Specialist focusing on Time and Labor, Leave, and Payroll. In my current role, I am acting as the HRIS Associate Director for Payroll and Benefits.
Throughout my tenure with the HEUG, I've been deeply involved in various advisory capacities. I initially participated in the HCM advisory group, later taking on the responsibility of chairing that group. Following this, I transitioned to the Alliance Program Team. Over a span of 4 years with this team, I had the distinct honor of leading Alliance 2023 in St. Louis, Missouri. This event turned out to be a resounding success for the organization. Currently, I am actively involved in a Past Program Chair role for Alliance 2024. The entire team and I are filled with anticipation, eagerly awaiting its realization in Phoenix. In addition, for the past year, I have been a proud member of the HEUG board. In this role, I've been at the forefront of leading the advisory groups and have been instrumental in spearheading the transition to HEUG Communities of Practice.
I am deeply passionate about technology and its potential, when administered correctly, to advance the mission, vision, and values of an institution. I firmly believe in harnessing the power of teamwork and individual talent to support and amplify this passion.
I consider myself truly fortunate to be employed by the University of Missouri. Over the years, I've been pivotal in managing a multifaceted HR system and formulating and applying cross-campus best practices. My experiences have enabled me to collaborate with a varied and skilled group of both technical and functional staff. Additionally, I've had the opportunity to represent the University on both national and global platforms.
On a personal note, I am an ardent Clemson Tiger fan and cherish every chance I get to travel.
