I have used Student Administration/Campus Solutions since 1999 when I was seconded to the team that took our university from the legacy SIS to the CS implementation 2001. During that time I gained extensive experience with Admissions, Campus Community, Student Records, Academic Advisement, 3C's, Query and various PeopleTools functionality. After the system go-live I transitioned from Assistant Registrar to leading the Admissions Systems team, and recently moved to the role of System Solutions Architect, Admissions. In admissions we use the Ontario Universities’ Application Center (OUAC) functionality, education, test results, admissions evaluations, 3C's, and external organizations. We also have some customizations for the OUAC, supplemental admission information, the document management system, and Self-Service for applicants. My role involves day-to-day production support, security, training, several cross-functional projects, and a number of upgrades and customizations. We implemented a document management system in 2011 that communicates data back and forth with Campus Solutions for undergraduate Admissions and Campus Community data. I have a keen interest in new Oracle Campus Solutions functionality and keep up-to-date with new bundle/PUM/PeopleTools documentation and webinars.
Beyond the university, I have had the privilege and opportunity to attend, and present at, a number of conferences such as the Ontario Universities’ Registrars’ Association (OURA), American Association of College Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO) and HEUG/Alliance. Within the province of Ontario, I have been a resource for universities implementing Campus Solutions, particularly Admissions and Campus Community. I have also worked with the Ontario Universities’ Application Centre (OUAC) on various projects such as online-offer response and electronic transcripts. I am also a member of CanPESC which is working to facilitate interoperability of data using the PESC standards. Recently Canada has launch MyCreds(https://mycreds.ca/) and I had the privilege of working with the Task Force that defined the RFP to build and provide the system.
